femoids:

I think the craziest thing about people who cry about “antis” is they genuinely believe pedophilia isn’t already normalized in the media. There are super popular movies, books, and shows glorifying pedophile. A pedophile ran a successful political campaign.

So honestly if you think “antis” (in this context: people who don’t like normalization of pedophilia in media) are more of a problem than actual pedophiles just block me. I don’t give a fuck if maps-are-valid-uwu gets mean messages from “antis” or gets exposed and fired from a job. Victims of pedophiles are the ones who suffer, they’re the ones left behind, they’re the ones who are terrified to reveal their experiences.

If you think you’re helping abuse victims by saying “it’s OK for the media to portray pedophilic relationships you bullies”, you’re wrong. It’s because of stuff like that people view this abuse as normal and excusable. Fiction DOES impact reality. When anyone writes a fictional story they want it to impact your thoughts and emotions because THAT’S HOW YOU WRITE EFFECTIVELY. Yet these “anti anti” freaks somehow think fiction is completely separate from reality, and embracing stuff like lolicon impacts nothing, which is entirely untrue.

When you defend depictions of pedophilia and other forms of abuse in media or fiction, you are contributing to the normalization of abuse. You’re not a hero, and you’ve got plenty of rich and famous people doing this shit for you.
