I went to Yukicon this weekend where Hato Moa and Damurushi held a Hatoful Boyfriend talk show and Q&A, and since the news of the upcoming new Hatoful Boyfriend game seem to have hit social media, here are all the notes I took about it:

– Hatoful Boyfriend: Mirror, the third Hatoful Boyfriend game, is supposed to come out in Japanese this summer 2018. An English version is also planned, but it will come out sometime later.

– Moa showed us the game’s logo and later tweeted a part of it:

– Moa is using the game engine Unity to create it. The game will be available for PC and Mac at least, but she’d also love to make a mobile version if she can figure out how.

– The game will take place in the alternate universe also seen in Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star’s shrine visit short stories – the one where Nageki does not die and is living with Hitori Uzune, and the original Kazuaki is also alive.

– The focus of the story will be on the quails, if I understood correctly.

SO YEAH HATOFUL BOYFRIEND 3 IS A THING THAT IS HAPPENING

Also, I sent in a question for the Q&A about what size the birds are exactly, since this panel of the manga is… a thing…

Moa confirmed that yes, they birds are bigger than the ones in our world, but she hasn’t decided the exact size. But they are huge enough that Hiyoko can comfortably use the same furniture, chairs etc. as the birds, otherwise Hiyoko’s school life would be difficult. 😀 This makes the scene where Hiyoko throws Okosan and Sakuya out the window even more amazing…

•hearing yelling from other classrooms and wondering wtf is going on????

– People who stop in the middle of the goddamn hallway
– That one kid who always has a winter coat on no matter what
– ‘Gay table’
– Kids who rap/blast rap music in the hallway
– “—– Please take off your hood/hat.”
– The bell doesn’t dismiss you I do
– We still have 3 minutes left don’t pack up yet or you’re getting a detention
– Mysterious ceiling stains
– Smoke coming out of the bathroom
-People who skip class and hide in the bathroom all period instead of leaving

  • those 3 kids who everyone knows are drug dealers
  • the secretary who is Tired
  • finding outdated memes printed out and pinned to the walls in teacher offices (ex: condescending willy wonka: “oh so that OTHER teacher didn’t give you homework?? i see”)
  • singing songs u learned in middle school language classes
  • the end of class is whenever someone shuffles their papers into a binder or moves their backpack, everyone else will follow like some freaky instinctual mimicry shit

stop calling racists, antisemites, misogynists, ableists, homopobes, transphobes, etc “trolls”. they’re not “trolling”, they’re being bigots. trolling is disliking a video for no reason or sending someone the bee movie script. being a literal nazi, lying about being assaulted by black people, telling immigrants to “go back to their country”, repeatedly misgendering trans women, those are all acts of violent bigotry. not trolling

by calling these people “trolls” we’re putting them in the same category as people who spam tags they don’t like with innocent posts and people who rickroll a lot

If your straight guy friend says that he supports gays, tell him that you thought he was gay when you first met him. See how fast he gets upset and insecure & starts asking you why you thought that.

My gay guy friend tried this to our straight friend and the response he got was “thought? More like hoped” and then he winked. That’s a real ally right there.Â
