why isn’t anyone allowed to be wrong anymore? it’s okay to be wrong. no one should be terrified of every tiny little mistake they might make. being wrong, and realizing you were wrong, is how you learn and grow and change.

No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
This technically counts, as students are civilians, and thus considered a “protected person”. So yes, collective classroom punishment breaks the fourth Geneva Convention, and she should be rewarded for standing up for human rights and doing her research.
this is going to piss some straight people off but listen. gay/trans 18 year olds know more about what it means to be lgbt than cishet professors with graduate degrees who have studied it their whole lives do. we may not know everything judith fucking butler has written and we may have been deprived of learning the bulk of lgbt history but cishet people, no matter how many degrees, will never fully understand what it means to be lgbt. they just can’t.
