It was just a 1ft by 1ft spot on a specific desk that was colder than the rest of the room. We marked it with tape.
If you put a room temperature 2ltr of soda in that spot, or a even a warm glass of water, over the course of an hour or so, it would cool down to the point that it’d develop condensation on the outside, and the liquid would be cool when drinking. Not COLD per se, but noticably cooler than room temperature.
The Cold Spot functioned even in the peak of summer, and the house was really old and didn’t have air conditioning.
