Mahu is the hawaiian word for people who embody both male and female spirit

PSA: The Hawai’ian people actually prefer the term “māhūlani” which is a lot nicer and a term of endearment. “lani” is the Hawai’ian word for heaven so by saying māhūlani you are calling the person a gift from the heavens. Thank you so much! ^_^
