I hate how normalized it is for parents to talk bad about their kids.
I mean how many of you have heard parents talk about how tiring kids are, how expensive it is to raise a child, how absolutely awful the teenage years are?
when you decided to become a parent, you knew a baby would keep you up. you knew caring for a child costs money. you knew how hard even being a teenager was.
you knew raising kids would be challenging. so if it’s so awful and terrible, why did you have a kid? if you weren’t ready for the challenges, why did you think it was a good idea to bring a child into the world?
no child asks to be born. no child deserves to hear how tiring they are, how expensive they are, how awful they are. no child deserves to feel like a lesser person just because you couldn’t handle raising a child. no child deserves to suffer because of you.
