Fun fact: My main character, Galen, was originally named “Garren” for a few months after I first made him before I decided the name sounded too gruff. I eventually found the name Galen and stuck with that, forgetting entirely why I chose that name other than it sounding nice and being similar to the original one. 5 years later I’ve changed the story around and given Galen healing properties and a couple of weeks ago I decided I should make him Greek (or at least the fantasy world’s version of Greek).
Last night I was browsing names for an entirely new character and scrolling through the list I noticed “Galen”. I decided to click on it to refresh my memory of the name’s meaning. The meaning is apparently “a healer, one who is calm”, the religion is Christianity (fitting since he’s a demon) and the name’s origin is Greek
