I really wish this had included the scene where her dad visits her at work to tell her that he regrets his behavior, still loves her no matter what, and is making an effort to forget the way he was raised to accept her in spite of what he doesn’t understand because it’s still realistic and he even says “your mom is gonna need more time” because it’s true that some people just won’t except it but it’s another great heartfelt moment
“I just want a gay character who’s also a POC who is open but isn’t defined by either of those traits and is still a well-written, three-dimensional character”
