I know 0 Japanese but I’m rewatching the BNHA sub for like the third time now so there’s a set of commonly-used-words that I’ve picked up on. One being “explosion” which is some variation of the word “baku” (baku hatsu?). Another being “to win” (or like, to defeat someone) which is absolutely definitely “katsu”
What I’m getting at here is that I’m pretty sure Katsuki Bakugou’s name is “Winner-son Mc-Splosion-boy”, which, frankly, puts King Explosion Murder into a new light of reasonability.

@kiki-kit and I were discussing how Aizawa loves cats, and figured he’d be the kind of guy who would pick up strays from the street and take them in. Kittens would then obviously happen.
Eventually he’d be told by Nezu that he can’t keep them all, so in order to keep the cutest of the bunch, he gifts All Might with a female kitten as long as he can visit it whenever he wants. He names the kitten Sidekick.

the rage i felt when i discovered tetsu in japanese means iron was unparalleled by any other emotion i have ever experienced. no one word has ever made me go completely apeshit like that before. it feels like im a trained superkiller and google translate telling me “iron” was the activation code to transport me to japan and beat horikoshi into submission. i understand naming characters puns or whatever but if he told me “hey heres my character ironiron ironiron his quirk is iron :)” i would LITERALLY lose my entire goddamn mind and immediately start wailing on him. what the fuck
