Well here’s the maze

Now Keith tells him to take “two steps forward” then “turn right”

But that would lead Lance down a dead end. Even if the writers meant the audience’s right, Lance would still walk straight into a wall. 

So this little shit was definitely trying to shock Lance on purpose
