Sometimes life can hard, but you are never alone ❤ what I have come to learn is that there is always a cheering section, even if you cant always hear them
The saga of animals who want you to know how great you are continues
Sometimes your biggest accomplishment of the day is going to be taking a shower or getting out of bed or having a meal. Sometimes you won’t feel like you’ve accomplished anything but know that you don’t always have to. Give yourself a break and try tomorrow.
Remember This…
- You are NOT a burden for asking for help.
- You are NOT annoying when you ramble.
- You are NOT weird for crying for no reason.
- You are NOT psycho for feeling depressed when no one else does.
- You are NOT an outcast if you like to spend time alone.
- You are NOT stupid if you have trouble articulating your thoughts.
- You are NOT alone.
You would be surprised with how many people in your life could be going through depression at this very moment. People hide it like a paper bag over their heads out of fear of being judged, made fun of, seen as weak, or just not taken seriously. Depression should not be taken lightly, it holds us down from our purpose and potential in life. Those who tell you that it doesn’t exist have never experienced depression in their life, therefore not understanding the symptoms and how it’s something that cannot be fixed in a day! So if you think you are depressed or if you think you know someone else who is, please talk to a friend, a family member, or anyone else in your life that you trust – never overlook the possibility of seeing a doctor for more professional help!! Your feelings are real, your feelings are shared upon millions. Don’t hide it, talk to someone about it. With the right help, you can rediscover your confidence and begin life anew with our undying love and support!
We are right here!!
Honestly shoutout to all the ppl who are trying hard to be more positive and make meaningful changes in their lives and work towards recovery because this shits hard and people definitely don’t say it enough, but focusing on recovery is very difficult and the progress you make is so valuable, just by choosing to work towards bettering yourself you have already come so far and that’s something to be really proud of
My therapist told me something meaningful yesterday, she said “It’s important to remember that when you’re depressed you have to nurse yourself and be extra gentile towards yourself. Just like an athlete wouldn’t break an ankle then force themselves to run that ankle. They rest as it heals and do not think “I am a failed athelete” they think, “right now something isn’t working so i’ll take care of myself until it does.“
Just like a broken bone, depression can change the way your daily life plays out, and pushing yourself too hard and getting frustrated when you don’t feel better is just like trying to run on that broken ankle and getting frustrated when it doesn’t heal.
Read this. Then read it again. And then save it and read it over and over when you are depressed.
