Recently I held a go fund me for my cat Mochi as he needs some dental work done. Through the amazing kindness of so many, we were able to meet our goal. His surgery will happen in the next few weeks.
However recently Mochi has been refusing food and when he does eat he vomits it everywhere. He has also had very runny diarrhea. I have been sick with a very bad cold and stayed home from work on Monday to observe him. By Tuesday I ran him to the vet to get a full panel blood test to rule out issues with he pancreas.
I was told that he will need some meds twice a day as well as small, bland meals given to him every 2-4 hours. As such I have to take the rest of the week off work. This in itself is understandable, however the cost is a lot. Our latest vet visit was 220$ and some probiotics we got for his tummy was 43$. With me missing work things get tight.
I hate asking for these things but if you can donate anything it would make a huge difference. Mochi has had so much struggle with his health but he really is such a tender hearted boy.

I donāt frankly care if its condescending or not, its the truth.
Its frustrating pouring a lot of effort into this blog, and seeing posts about serious issues being routinely ignored. These are issues that are important enough that if they were happening in the USA in the same frequency would get thousands of notes, but because theyāre about Canada rarely get more than 100.
If it takes 1 condescending post now and then to vent my frustration for people to finally pay attention? So be it.
Iām cool with condescending, because how many condescending jokes about our health care and being nice and the way we say the vowelsĀ āouā have we had to fucking sit through?
Maybe Canadians are done with being nice all the time. Itās hard getting attention for issues when youāre living next to a literal dumpster fire.

So, as I stated on my original commission sheet, Iām in a bit of a hard place. Iām saving so my partner can get a visa to come and live with me, so we can both get out of less than ideal situations. However, today I hit a major snag, as I had to use the small amount of savings I have to pay for nearly $1000 in medical bills, utilities and rent. If possible I want to try and replenish my savings, so I am opening up emergency commissions. I donāt imagine turnaround would be longer than a week – Ā I do work fast, however I will let you know if I come across any issues seeing as Iām currently in the middle of my semester. I donāt want to over burden myself, so Iām going to limit myself to 10 slots, first come first serve. The two flavours of commission Iāll be offering are full coloured Headshots and Half-Bodies, for $10 and $20 each respectively. I wonāt put a link for a donation for anything because I donāt want to take anything without giving something back, however I would ask that if possible, the headshots could be paid for in advance. The half-bodies however, can be paid for at the sketch/lining phase.
Iām quite happy to do whatever for these ā NSFW, Anthro, Fan Art, Gore and pretty much whatever is accepted, though I may decline if things get too extreme.
