Yeah, regarding that suicide hotline post I reblogged: I genuinely worry, with the number of mentally ill people on this site trying to live with and/or ease their mental illness, that some of these people are going to get tricked by Scientologist anti-psychiatry propaganda. I mean, that’s how cults lure people in; they pick people who feel there’s something missing or wrong with their lives and take advantage of them by claiming to have the solution to all their problems.
I’ve joked in the past about “What if the Church of Scientology got a Tumblr?” but there’s a part of me that’s worried that there are Scientologists on Tumblr trying to spread dangerous misinformation about mental health.
I hope that part of me is wrong.
UPDATE: So, uh, turns out a branch of $cientology technically HAS made Tumblr blogs. Several of them. This is Gia. She is the sweetest, most loving service dog. She was basically retired, but still does her job occasionally. She got mauled by another dog about a week ago, and the image on the right is her now. For More Images/Proof:Go Here *GRAPHIC*
Now, I’m not asking for anyone to cover her vet fees, or to help us put the other dog down. What we REALLY need, is some Pajamas for Gia. I have created a wishlist of Jammies for her. Now, you’re probably asking why she needs Jammies. She is a double coated dog, a chow chow. Without her coat, she can’t keep herself warm or regulate her temperature. And we live in Ohio, where it gets very cold. Our power has already gone out once this winter, Gia won’t be okay if she gets too cold. She can’t go outside, she can’t sleep, she can’t heal. These pajamas also help to keep the bandage on her neck stable, and keeps her from rubbing it off. She is bleeding, oozing over herself constantly, so we need a lot of pajamas to keep rotating them. They won’t just get used once, they’ll be used all winter and through the spring even! Until she is healed, they will be used and very appreciated.
If you can’t help us by buying her some pajamas, can you please reblog this? We got hit with $3000 of vet bills that we do not have the money for. And she is due for another surgery to remove the rest of the dead skin next week.

I’m a queer, depressed, autistic woman, and I need to move out of my parent’s house and away from my abusive father as soon as I can.
I’m currently in college studying floristry, and thus my ability to work is limited. I’m currently only able to work 10 hours a week on minimum wage, which makes saving extremely difficult.
My fatheris extremely violent tempered and emotionally abusive, and I can’t even come out for fear of how he’ll react. He’s hindering my depression recovery and making college all the harder. Living with him is a miserable nightmare and I can’t stand it anymore.

Not only will longer screws keep you safer, they also prevent your door from sagging over time, which leads to scraping or your door not closing properly.

make sure you install longer screws on the hinges too. contractors often cut corners by using whatever they have lying around and s door can be kicked off from the hinge side too. this is especially important with older homes and apartments. depending on the maintenance standards (if there are any), a door that has been repaired or replaced could have mismatched screws.

Apparently, this is not a real support group but it’s a trap that are targeting LGBT+ people to physically harm them. They people behind “REAJA” have very malicious intentions.

I received the contact of Reaja on sunday night. My friends and I thought it seemed pretty weird so we blocked it… We were right.
At my last company, one day someone in accounting approached me at lunch and quietly told me I need to ask for a raise because I was way underpaid.
They gave me a number to shoot for. It was about twice than what I had been making at the time.
So I went online, did some research, found some figures backing up my claim, put it all together and went to my boss.
I got what I asked for.
If it hadn’t been for that person in accounting telling me I was way underpaid, I’d have never known. I went from barely scraping by to being able to have a savings account and getting all my debts paid thanks to them.
You should at least check sites like salary.com to start the process of seeing what you should be making.

Except for the fact that 90% of the time you are under contract not to talk about your salary otherwise the company can sue you. Every job I’ve had I’ve had to sign that I won’t discuss my pay with other employees otherwise my employment is terminated and the company will take legal action.
