I actually have a lot of heterosexual friends. I suspect my brother might be hetero. And I really don’t have a problem with it. Just like. The hetero ppl I know aren’t all like. Flamboyant about it, ya feel? Like, they aren’t like wearing cargo shorts and watching CBS and shit. I always think it’s kinda tacky when you can tell someone is hetero just by looking at them. Like. Don’t you even care that you’re basically a walking stereotype? It’s just hard to take ppl seriously when they act like that.

the fact that cishets tell gay folk “i dont care what you do in your bedroom!” shows you that they reduce gay couples to just walking sexual sin. it doesnt occur to them that we have beautiful loving, emotional and romantic relationships just like they do

Young girls in fandom (especially “fujoshi” ew) need to understand that being “obsessed” with gay men, having a ton of men loving men ships, calling us “sin” and seeing us as nothing but “HAWT YAOI” is not at all supporting gay relationships and is in fact an act of homophobia.
You are fetishising our love as if it were taboo and degrading us down to your oversexualised fantasies of us. We are not your kink or your guilty pleasure. It really needs to be addressed early on before it becomes a case of “um shut up im an adult woman and I can’t choose my sexuality as much as you can’t for being gay :)”.
