Honestly the most important video I’ve ever seen…
this should be on everyones blog
NEVER EVER LET THIS HAPPEN TO ANY ONE WOMEN OR MEN NOBODY DESERVES THIS.
important shit
This needs to be Reblogged by everyone 🙌🏽
REBLOG THIS.
HOLY SHIT, NEVER STOP REBLOGGING THIS.
witches care about other witches! reblog!
This is important, and I’m glad to see Ontario made this! They said something that REALLY needs to be said.
I know it’s deterring for a lot of people (myself included) to see reblogs saying that everyone needs to reblog it, but I suggest at least watching it before you scroll past.

Many doctors will just write a script for high quantities of anything the patient asks them for. That’s why pharmacies are trying to make sure it’s actually necessary. Unimaginable amounts of people die every year from opioid overdose and they’re not all bad people. It starts with being prescribed these pills for an acute condition and getting hooked. I understand that you who have chronic pain and truly need them but you will just have to go through extra steps. Not everything is about you.
Wow. You clearly have never had to take opioids and you’ve been buying the government’s bullshit on opioids as well. You’re lucky you’ve never had to take them long term but you clearly do not understand the process of getting opioids now. Doctors will not just write scripts for higher doses. They did like back in the 1990s and early 2000s when opioids became prescribed more but now most doctors avoid prescribing them because they risk their license if they’re suspected of over prescribing. Doctors go through an extensive system to prescribe them now and it’s not an easy process for them or the patient. It used to be but things have changed.
Currently doctors are lowering chronic pain patients pain medications because of misconceptions like yours rather than raising them as you’ve stated. They’re lowering doses that people have been on safely for years. This puts chronic pain patients in agony and bed bound. You want to talk about opioid deaths which are absolutely awful and we need better resources to help addicts. What about the chronic pain patients who are dying because their medications are taken away even though they use them responsibly. Without the meds and in agony they often end up killing themselves. Or forced to go buy opioids on the street and end up dying. They are punished for other people’s actions and end up dying. How is that okay? How is that justified in your mind?
Without pain meds, I would be bed bound and unable to work. But taking them responsibly like I have for the last 7 years, I can manage some quality of life. My doctors have deemed me safe to take these medications at the dosages they prescribed. What gives the government and pharmacy the right to decide differently without a medical degree or any understanding of me as a patient?
They aren’t adding “extra steps” to get prescriptions, they are intentionally lowering or withholding medications from people who need them. It’s not about waiting a little longer for them for chronic pain patients, it’s about fucking surviving. I’m treated as a criminal and a drug addict simply for taking the medication my doctor prescribed because people like you have a false understanding of prescribed opioid pain medication.
I hope you never have to experience the humiliation of being treated like scum simply for the medication you take. I hope you never have to lay in bed in agony crying and unable to sleep because the pharmacy is withholding your medication. I hope you never have to feel the fear of having to quit your job and live in poverty because you’re in too much pain to work. I hope maybe you’ll listen to what I said and rethink your attitude on chronic pain patients. This isn’t about me. It’s about the thousands of chronic pain patients being punished for other’s behavior.

Girls pose by a jail that recalls the witch trials of 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts. Photo taken in 1945.
I recently learned that the water in Salem was contaminated with the fungus from which LSD is derived and a legitimate theory for the whole thing is that everyone in the town was tripping balls
This might be the greatest thing ive ever seen on the internet
We did a whole massive thing on this in history. I believe the fungus in question is called Ergot and it’s terrifying. It makes your muscles spasm so when they had seizures that was the reason, not because they were possessed. One woman had to be strapped to her bed, she was seizing so bad. And, like ‘theybuildbuildings’ said, it had the same effects as LSD; as soon as you touch it, let alone consume it, it messes with your entire system. The worst thing is, you practically always had a bad trip. Many complained about bugs crawling under their skin or monsters emerging from the shadows to scratch and bite at them until they were screaming. It was a horrendous thing and the worst part is, Ergot is still around. It grows on crops and, if your wheat isn’t properly treated, it can be eaten and you’ll most likely experience the same as the women of Salem.
god i love history
This is hella cool and almost correct…
The effects on the people of Salem were probably from consuming bread with the fungus in it, not from contaminated water. And apparently rye is way more commonly affected than wheat. In fact, often the members of the clergy were able to afford nicer bread made from wheat and thus were not as commonly affected.
You don’t go on a spasm-y trip just by touching it. You have to consume it for weeks, which results in chronic poisoning. ( If you stop eating it early enough, you may recover. So when people suffering from these “demonic possessions” took refuge in churches and stopped eating low-grade rye bread they were sometimes miraculously healed.
More interesting facts:
Ergot poisoning can result in convulsions & hallucinations, or it can cause gangrene, depending on which group of active alkaloids are present. (Horrifying, either way.) It killed a lot of people in Europe in the Middle Ages.
In Europe, often there was a strong correlation between wet summers (which provide ideal conditions for ergot) and reports of witchcraft/ possession. And in Norway and Scotland, records of witch persecution are only found in areas where rye was grown and used to make bread.
And I just learned right now that one author dude translated the word “Beowulf” as “barley-wolf” which could indicate a connection to ergot. The LSD-like effects could be a valid explanation for stories of Old Norse warriors going into the a sort of trancelike battle rage.
(this is exactly the kind of stuff my
herbologymedicinal plants class is about, it’s so cool omfg. we had a lecture on ergot last week.)
the fact that all of this men are blaming ariana grande for mac miller’s overdose rather than seeing that he chose to not seek help is really telling about men & their privilege & entitlement. rather than reflecting on themselves, men will place blame on a woman for their problems. the blame is doubled when she leaves the man & thrives without the toxicity in her life. in this essay i will
actually even scrolling through social media & seeing how men & women alike are placing the blame for this on ariana grande, i feel, is very reflective of our society. a man has died & rather than mourning him or sending condolences to his loved ones people are jumping at the opportunity to send hate to a successful woman who has been through hell & back to shame her for leaving him & finding happiness beyond him but also blaming her for his actions after she left his life. not only does it show how we don’t hold men accountable for their actions & how society actively encourages us to not hold men accountable for the things they do. this also shows how much the society we live absolutely despises women. why is it so easy for people to jump to sending hate to a woman over her ex’s death & blaming her for the fact that he couldn’t get sober despite her trying to help? since when was it her job to fix him? he wasn’t ready to get better so he didn’t. there’s absolutely nothing she could have done & the fact that people would rather turn to her than look at his life is appalling. it’s also appalling how rather than looking at the drug problem that exists in the world & how the system repeatedly fails addicts, we would rather place the blame for this event on a woman.
