guys. it’s okay. if you don’t know how spanish works, it’s okay. you really don’t have to go on google translate and bring over sentences that don’t generally work.
hispanic people can speak 100% english without saying a spanish sentence every other sentence. granted, yes, some of us tend to break into spanglish, but others can and will speak english nonstop. trust me, you will ruin your fic much more with broken laughable spanish than if you just write lance speaking english.
if you insist on writing spanish sentences, have a native speaker look over your work and give you advice. if you don’t have a native speaking friend, write in english. there’s no shame in it.
