I would even love for us just to have a moment in S5 where Lance says “I missed you” to Keith and Keith’s world just tilts because he’s never considered the possibility that someone could miss him.

Head cannon that Shiro 100% knows all about Keith’s crush on Lance (cause they close buds and all) and that’s why Shiro scolds him so much for flirting with everyone because he’s the only one who knows that Keith dies inside a little everytime he sees the person he loves flirt with someone else (which is a lot)
